Background and Experience...
Jim Edwards is a pioneer in the taxidermy field from Eastern North Carolina. Jim realized a need in the marketplace for fiberglass replicas of certain large thick skinned mammals as well as animals that could not be imported into the USA, (or in the case of dinosaur replicas he made - died in the Ice Age!) Jim worked with sculptor, Chris Darga, to produce replicas of elephant, rhino, hippo, walrus and some dinosaurs as well. Not only was he the first to make these replicas, but he was the only one to make them from original sculptures as opposed to molding a mounted animal.

Jim is a Safari Club International Life Member and one of their first Official Measurers. He is also a Life Member of the Wild Sheep Foundation and Official Measurer. He is an Official Measurer for Pope & Young and a Life Member of the National Taxidermist Assoc. Read more...
